DO YOU DESIRE ABUNDANCE?

And he said to them, "When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?" So they said, "Nothing." (Luke 22 verse 35). This is Jesus, the only Son of God to His disciples.

Now, lets analyse the above to assimilation. Before anyone could send someone, he/she must have been called, educated, tested, trusted and equipped.

Jesus called His disciple to, "follow Me," - Mathew 4 verse 19. He did not meet them and sent them immediately. The disciples spent time with Jesus, learning, observing and been taught. This was the process to educate them on the kingdom of God; what it is and what it is not; equipping them with all necessities. After a while, He sent them with instructions and they came back with results exclaiming, "even the demons obeyed us when we called on your name" -Luke 10 verse 17. These results were proof that they were prepared and carried out instruction on their mission.

The experiences and results of these early apostles/disciples is a proof that whomsoever God through Jesus Christ sent will have tangible results working according to guidelines.

Impatience, lack of preparation can deny one the manifestation of results as a child of God. Unfortunately, with the microwave mentality of this generation, many people wants everything quick and without any effort. Results are desired without any desire for the process. Every lasting results came through a process but this digital generation do not want to hear about it hence, shortcut even to a detriment.

Impatience has caused many to send themselves without preparation hence, no tangible result which graduated to frustrations and compromises; some very horrible.

In secular world, to be a professional in a field, one goes through a process of learning, unlearning and re-learning but in Christendom, people wants to automatically have results without the requiste transformation that comes from subjection to the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ.

There is need to go back to the "ancient path" -Jeremiah 6 verse 16; to the roots and subject to the tutelage and pruning of God if we desire to have tangible results and make the world a better place.

There shall be no lack when we subject ourselves under the tutelage of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit and, undergo the subsequent transformation. Only by doing this that we will not lack anything when called and sent

WHAT IS LIFE

Everyone lives but do all really know who is life?

Often times people say, 'its my life'. What is this life we live? This life have the ability to leave as well. When one dies, we can identify the person by the corpse we associated with in this life. Why is the person lying stone cold? Why not stand and move out of the casket? Why is the person no longer talking, touching or hugging us? The fact is life has gone out of the person. This life is actually the living being; it is a person and is the possessor of all the characteristics of living things. Understanding this life will help us understand how we should live.

Since this life can come and leave, it shows it is under control. Who then is in charge?

" I am the Way, the Truth and the Life......" (NJKV; John 14 verse 6). Jesus is the Life Himself. He is the son of God; the Word; the God made man for our salvation. To understand this life, we need to let Jesus into our life because, " in Him (Jesus) is life and the life was the light of men" (NJKV; John 1 verse 4).

When one dies this light goes off. This is why you need to let Jesus into your life to bring you to the awareness of this life. Without Him, life will be in crisis.

Life is a purpose. The purpose is to actualise the will of God to bring the world unto Him and to enable you live like a king He made you. This is why Jesus came into this world to redeem us from darkness and bring us in His marvellous light (1Peter 2 verse 9). Each time you see yourself in crisis, you have plunged into darkness and your life is threatened. Go back to Jesus in Prayer to reset you. We all need resetting at one point or another. Do not be afraid to approach God no matter how badly you have plunged into darkness to be reset.

What then is this life? Jesus is the life. He came to give you life; life in abundance (John 10 verse 10). This life He gives is what leaves after the mortal body expires. This life either comes back to Him or be condemned. Jesus desires you come back to HIm.

He said, " come to me all you that labour and heavily burdened and I will give you rest )Matthew 11 verse 28).

Who can steer this life to live on the right path is if not the Way, the Truth and the Life; Jesus Himself.

Surrender your life this day to Jesus, trust in Him with all your heart; acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your path (Proverbs 3 verse 6).

                                                                          WORLD PEACE

Often times we clamour for peace. We prevail on ruling government to provide us with peace. Different tenures of government of the world have promised to provide us peace. Government has implemented many policies, legalising even things that can indirectly end human existence, gave consideration to many ideas; crazy ones inclusive, bringing them to existence, paying out free money; ransom inclusive, yet PEACE was not achieved.

Personally, we have tried doing many things ranging from divorce, remarry, cutting-off people we felt we can't put up with, disowning our kids, homosexuality, seemingly securing our own "space", did some unimaginable things yet, we could not attain a state of peace. Surprisingly, neglecting ONE thing. Will discuss this later.

What jeopardize our peace? Greed, envy, jealousy, selfishness, desires; illicit ones inclusive, fanaticism, segregation, hatred, and the likes. James 4 verse 1 states, " What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is not not this, that your passions are at war within you?" What are these passions? what we want at any point of time for ourselves, certain person or group of people, seemingly loved ones and the list goes on. All these could not give us peace rather a momentarily succour which wear out leaving us with internal turmoil hence, we repeat same things and, the circle continues.

Little actions in our private life translated to the world crisis we all are witnessing.  For peace to be in the world, there is need for inner peace within all man. Can someone give what they don't have? Certainly, NO. In the same way, can a man full with inner crisis give PEACE? I leave it to you.

Gospel of John 14 verse 27, Christ said, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives ......". Christ offered peace that comes with inner and outer tranquillity rooted in Him not, the temporarily conditioned peace the world gives. To enjoy this peace, one should let Christ into their lives; acknowledge Him as a personal Lord and Saviour without reservation. Afterwards, allow the Holy Spirt to transform you.

Coming to that one thing we neglect. We want peace but do not want to be peaceful. We neglect working on ourselves and attitudes to breed peace. How do we intend to achieve peace when we are full with resentment, self righteousness, murderous intents, violence, divisions, factions, anger, i will remain as i am mentality, etc (Fruits of the flesh - Galatians 5 verse 19). We circle ourselves with seemingly friends who could be friendly enemies and sycophants to clap and cheers us on to perpetuate that which that robs the world of peace.

To bring about this desired peace, we need to let Christ and subsequently the Holy Spirit into our private lives. When we allow the Holy Spirit to transform through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, He will bear His fruits (patience, charity, gentleness, self control, joy PEACE, etc - Galatian 5 verse 22). He will bring the desire peace within us which naturally will translate to world peace.
