DO YOU DESIRE ABUNDANCE?
And he said to them, "When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?" So they said, "Nothing." (Luke 22 verse 35). This is Jesus, the only Son of God to His disciples.
Now, lets analyse the above to assimilation. Before anyone could send someone, he/she must have been called, educated, tested, trusted and equipped.
Jesus called His disciple to, "follow Me," - Mathew 4 verse 19. He did not meet them and sent them immediately. The disciples spent time with Jesus, learning, observing and been taught. This was the process to educate them on the kingdom of God; what it is and what it is not; equipping them with all necessities. After a while, He sent them with instructions and they came back with results exclaiming, "even the demons obeyed us when we called on your name" -Luke 10 verse 17. These results were proof that they were prepared and carried out instruction on their mission.
The experiences and results of these early apostles/disciples is a proof that whomsoever God through Jesus Christ sent will have tangible results working according to guidelines.
Impatience, lack of preparation can deny one the manifestation of results as a child of God. Unfortunately, with the microwave mentality of this generation, many people wants everything quick and without any effort. Results are desired without any desire for the process. Every lasting results came through a process but this digital generation do not want to hear about it hence, shortcut even to a detriment.
Impatience has caused many to send themselves without preparation hence, no tangible result which graduated to frustrations and compromises; some very horrible.
In secular world, to be a professional in a field, one goes through a process of learning, unlearning and re-learning but in Christendom, people wants to automatically have results without the requiste transformation that comes from subjection to the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ.
There is need to go back to the "ancient path" -Jeremiah 6 verse 16; to the roots and subject to the tutelage and pruning of God if we desire to have tangible results and make the world a better place.
There shall be no lack when we subject ourselves under the tutelage of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit and, undergo the subsequent transformation. Only by doing this that we will not lack anything when called and sent
